Scoring:
26-30: You’re the one holding up the line at the pharmacy because you’re getting your groceries and your prescriptions at the same time.
20-25: You know more about chocolate and fashion than any human being should.
15-19: You should take up gambling because you’re really good at lucky guesses.
10-14: You deserve chocolate today, unless you’re allergic to it in which case you deserve the chocolate substitute of your choice.
5-9: It doesn’t say anything on the label about lark’s vomit.
1-4: You are some kind of sick human being, possibly a cannibal, and I would really like to meet you.
Answer key:
As usual, great quiz! Although my result of 23 indicates that I know more about chocolate and fashion than any human being should, I believe I’m actually a really good guesser and deserve a chocolate today (and everyday).
You know what? Everybody deserves chocolate. Chocolate for everybody!
That’s one of my all time favourite sketches–right after The Parrot Shop and Michelangelo and the Pope!
Holy mackerel, how have I never seen the Michelangelo and the Pope sketch before? I should turn in my Monty Python Fan Club card, but I’ve seen it now thanks to you and I’m most grateful. You deserve chocolate.
OK, I got zero because every single name to me seemed like it could be either lipstick or candy. It would have been easier if you had used lipstick names from Urban Decay (unrelated– my favorite eyeshadow by them is a beautiful green named “Mildew”). Anyway, examples of UD lipsticks are: Bad Blood, Blackmail, Stark Naked, Carnal, Anarchy, F-Bomb, Walk of Shame, Speedball and lots of other equally good names. If you had used THESE lipstick colors I would have done much better on the quiz. Just something to remember for next year.
Hey, you didn’t expect me to make the quiz easy, did you? Although I really appreciate this because now I know where I’m going for all my makeup needs. I can’t even imagine what color “Speedball” is but I want it.
Hm. I don’t know if I trust your answer key. I’m gonna ask the woman at the cosmetics counter if they carry Crunchy Frog, just in case.
If she says they’re out of Crunchy Frog and offers Anthrax Ripple instead PROMOTE THE HELL OUT OF THAT MAKEUP COUNTER.
I was too distracted by the names to take this quiz, Chris. I did spot the exception, though.
I believe you spotting the exception is proof that the only rule to which there are no exceptions is the rule that there’s an exception to every rule.
10-14, your quiz motivates me to indulge, or flagellate!
I hope you indulge. Unless flagellation is your thing. Whatever makes you happy. I’m a fan of the philosophy of Ambrose Bierce who defined self-denial as “indulgence of a propensity to forego”.
I agree, it makes me think of the ascetics too.
Do I hear echoes of Monty Python here?
Not at all. Just a twig brushing against the window.
