It’s Another Birthday.

Didn’t I do this a year ago? The older I get the faster time seems to go and yet it gets harder and harder to remember where I’ve been. That’s the worst part of growing old. At least I think it is. I’m going to hit the reset button and see if I get the same results the next time around.

Also time flies like the wind. Fruit flies like bananas. I won’t tell you how many years it took me to understand that joke. Let’s just say I spent a shocking amount of time thinking it had something to do with throwing fruit.

Yes! And as a wise man said “Time may change me but I can’t trace time.” Then he went off to fight spiders on Mars.

Today is seriously your birthday? It’s my birthday too. I feel like that guy who is always trying to top the other guy’s story, but I swear it’s true!

Are you my long lost twin brother that I used to pretend was separated from me at birth? What year were you born? I was born in ’67.

Loved the video! Didn’t make me sick at all. Happy Birthday to us!

That’s amazing that today is your birthday. This is not the first time I’ve thought we could be twins but I was born in 1970–that would have been an uncomfortably long time to wait in the delivery room.
I used to feel kind of down that my birthday was so close to Christmas although I have to give my mother full credit for always treating my birthday as a separate and special event, never folding it into Christmas. Also you’re the second person I know with whom I share a birthday. The other guy works at a bar. We should take advantage of that and meet up for drinks.

That would indeed be a long time to wait. My parents and significant others always made sure it was treated as a separate event and that’s pretty much all I cared about. The one thing that kind of got to me though, was never really having a full blown party because there were always so many other Christmas festivities going on. So maybe one day we can get together with your friend, toss back a few, and party on our own*.

        * All credit to P!ink on that last bit.

Thank you so much and I look forward to both of us having many more even after that.
