Think About It.

Every time I watch The Blues Brothers and it gets to the diner scene, my favorite scene, I always think, why isn’t she in the band? And then I realize making her part of the band would be blasphemy. She could only be a solo act.

Hail to the Queen. Hail and farewell Aretha Franklin.

I agree, Chris. She wasn’t a singer…. she was The Singer. I was toying with the idea of posting the same scene from the classic movie. Thanks for beating me to t.

Now I feel bad for beating you to it, although her talent was so great that there are a lot of performances to choose from. And we all have our individual takes on the same scene.

I certainly do and will say a little prayer for that remarkable natural woman.

And hail to you, Ann, since, as a singer, I think you can appreciate Aretha’s artistry better than those of us who can’t sing.
