Happy birthday Carol Burnett. Even though she’s done so much in a career that’s spanned more than six decades now she may be best remembered for The Carol Burnett Show. And that’s kind of fitting because she hasn’t just done comedy. She’s also done dramatic roles, she sings, she’s written a memoir. Carol Burnett has shown a variety of talents. When I was a kid I always loved her questions and answers with the audience best because she could be hilarious even when not working from a script. Oh yeah, and there was that yell.

Oh my gosh, I hadn’t thought about this show in ages. I too used to watch it as a child and I also liked the Q and A segments. I enjoyed watching that clip. Thanks for sharing. Will have to see what other clips of that show I can find…

I’ve come to believe that everything I ever saw as a kid is now somewhere on YouTube. It’s way to drive my friends nuts. I send them a link and say, “This is that thing I tried so hard to describe to you!”

Now, who were all those male comedians again, who were always saying ‘women aren’t funny?’ Wonder where they got that idea?
